| Our Soap and Lotion...Why use goat milk in soap and lotion? Milk, in general, has extremely soothing and moisturizing qualities. However, goat milk from Nubian goats is made of 5% butterfat and 3.5% protein. Milk protein has a very high nutritional value, containing essential amino acids. Soap and lotion made with milk is naturally high in protein. This unique property of milk-based soaps and lotions can make an exceptionally soothing favorite for delicate complexions. The combination of goat milk and superior natural oils such as coconut oil, olive oil, cocoa butter, and an all-vegetable shortening, along with essential oils and herbs are used in producing our soaps. We believe these are the finest ingredients for soap making. Coconut oil lends to a fluffy lather, olive oil offers additional moisturizing properties, the all-vegetable shortening allows for a harder and more stable bar, and the cocoa butter is known to provide extra moisture for the skin. The combination of these oils and herbs with our goat milk from Nubian dairy goats raised on our farm, produces a lovely, moisturizing product. The high butterfat content in the milk Nubians are known for producing contributes to the high quality of the soap. Our lotions are all handmade with the fresh goat milk from our goats, aloe vera gel, coconut oil, olive oil, vitamin E, emulsifying wax, germaben II (preservative), and essential oils. Each of these oils provide a specific quality to the lotion that gives the soothing and moisturizing feeling everyone wants for their skin. Pamper yourself with a soothing bath using our goat milk soap and enhance your skin with our luxurious, creamy goat milk lotion. |
